"Although this description is highly condensed, it is based upon years of study and experimental research by many, many people from many scientific disciplines."Who, what kind of "scientific disciplines", and how to know that these people (if they exist) are not idiots in their own fields ? Claiming to be based on science is easy. Any advertising can claim something to be "scientific". Being really scientifically valid is something else. Whole "disciplines" are dominated by idiots, such as philosophy and psychiatry. I am scientist and I see nothing scientific in the Venus project. What is the proportion of scientists who think the Venus project is serious ? It would be interesting to see...
" practical and feasible for a positive future for all the world's people"Many thousands of people already joined and supported the Venus project. If it was feasable, what could these thousands of people acheive ? As for me, I do not need thousands of people to change the world. I only need a few web programmers.
"One of the basic premises of The Venus Project is that we work towards having all of the Earth's resources as the common heritage of all the world's people"That is not new. That was already tried. That was called the Soviet Union. What is wonderful with this project is that it is guaranteed to always have an excuse why it would be right in words while remaining a complete failure : in fact it is guaranteed to never work since by definition it cannot work as long as not all the world joins, and of course, you cannot make the whole world join (and kill everybody who does not agree, who, you know, does not want to share resources, like the Ukrainians who did not want to share their food to Russia were killed, and if they did, they starved, in the Big starvation, holodomor). And if you want to make the whole world join, beware: if this brings the whole world to a disaster, you don't have a Planet B where to escape and try something else.
" Anything less will simply result in a continuation of the same catalog of problems inherent in the present system."That is a belief in the impossibility to do anything good unless you achieve the impossible. A big message of despair.
